Paper is an abundant resource in our society with a constant stream of the material interacting with our routines on a daily basis, from the newspaper to food packaging and books. However this resource does have a detrimental impact on our ecosystems due to the way we value it and thus treat it when it reaches its end of life. As a society we have become complacent with the idea of throwing away items which we conceive to be worthless at the time, discarding them and not thinking about their potential in another form.

By harnessing this single use throwaway material I aimed to challenge the viewers perception on ‘rubbish’ by utilising paper waste and transforming it into an object of desirability rather than discard-ability.
